CareerSafe Named OSHA Ambassador, Advancing Workforce Safety for the Next Generation as National Focus Grows on Skilled Trades

[WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 2026] CareerSafe has been named an Ambassador within the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Alliance Program, expanding its national role in preparing young workers with the safety knowledge and skills needed before they enter the workforce. The designation was formalized March 18 during a signing ceremony at the U.S. Department of Labor’s Frances Perkins Building, held ahead of the OSHA Alliance Program’s Annual Construction Roundtable.

“The Ambassador designation is the highest level of recognition we can give an employer partner, and it reflects organizations that go above and beyond,” said David Keeling, Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA. “This partnership gives us the ability to really affect the next generation of workers. That’s where we can make a real impact.”

More than 23 million workers ages 16 to 24 are currently employed in the United States. Many of these young workers enter high-demand industries with little or no formal safety training, and thousands are injured on the job each year. At the same time, employers across skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, and construction must attract hundreds of thousands of new workers in the coming years to address persistent shortages, making it more urgent than ever to build a workforce that is safety-ready from day one.

“We reached out to OSHA because we share the same mission - protecting workers through education and prevention, especially young workers before they enter the workforce,” said Rodney Casida, Chief Financial Officer at CareerSafe. Through the Alliance Program, CareerSafe collaborates with OSHA and other partners nationwide to raise awareness of workplace safety, promote hazard recognition, and expand access to safety education for students and emerging workers.

“The most important thing we’ve achieved together is shifting the conversation from reacting to injuries to preventing them,” said Lauren Griffiths, Executive Director of Sales at CareerSafe. “We’ve brought that impact into classrooms and CTE programs across the country, helping students understand how foundational safety really is.”

Students who complete CareerSafe’s OSHA-authorized training earn a U.S. Department of Labor OSHA card - a credential of value that signals safety awareness and workforce readiness, giving young workers a tangible edge as they enter skilled trades and other high-demand careers.

As an OSHA Ambassador, CareerSafe will continue expanding national initiatives that bring safety education into classrooms and career journeys, including efforts like Safe + Sound in School Week, which engages students directly in recognizing hazards and speaking up about workplace safety.

This designation marks a significant step forward in CareerSafe’s long-standing partnership with OSHA and reinforces its growing role in shaping how safety education reaches students nationwide.
