Q: When do I have to turn in my video submission?
A: The contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Central Standard Time ("CST") on October 15, 2011 and ends at 5:00 p.m. CST on March 1, 2012. Any video postmarked after March 1, 2012 will be void..
Q: Can I email my video submission to CareerSafe?
A: No, all videos must be submitted only via U.S. Postal Service or any other conventional mail delivery service. Video entries must be submitted via CD-Rom in .avi, .mov, .mpg, or .wmv format no larger than 100 MB in size along with the url of your video uploaded to YouTube.
Q: Will I be notified once my submission has been received?
A: Yes, we will contact you via email that your submission has been received.
Q: Can my video be longer than 2 minutes in length?
A: No, all videos must remain under two (2) minutes.
Q: Can my video contain images,logos, copyrights, trademarks/tradenames of a third party?
A: No, Please do not submit videos that contain any depictions of other third party artistic works, copyrights, trademarkes/tradenames, logos, or similar brand indentifying marks.
Q: I do not have liability release forms for every person in the video, will my video be voided?
A: Yes, we must have liability forms for all persons in the video submission. For any individual that is under the age of 18 we must have parental/guardian consent on the liability forms.
Q: If I win when will I be notified and receive my prize?
A: We will notify the winners on or around May 25, 2012. The winners will be announced to the public at the SkillsUSA 48th Annual National Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City, MO June 25, 2012.
Q: How do I upload my video to YouTube?
A: We have provided directions on how to upload your video to YouTube that can be found here.
Q: Can we list our credits in the video?
A: For your safety it is best if you do not include any names of any persons in your video.
