CareerSafe® Youth Safety Video Contest

 



How to Enter:

Beginning October 15, 2011 but prior to March 1, 2012:

  • Click here to download and read the CareerSafe Youth Safety Video Contest Official Rules
  • Click here to download and complete the CareerSafe Youth Safety Video Contest Entry Form
  • Click here to download and complete the CareerSafe Youth Safety Video Contest Liability Release Form for yourself and all persons whose voice or image is included in the video
  • Submit your video on CD-ROM, accompanied by the completed Entry Form along with your YouTube video link and all Liability Release Forms via U.S. Postal Service or any other conventional mail delivery service to:

Note: You will not be eligible to enter the contest if you do not complete and return ALL forms and requirements with your video submission.

 

Video Criteria:

  • Videos must convey a message related to youth safety in the workplace.
  • Videos must be no more than two (2) minutes in length.
  • Acceptable video formats are: .avi, .mov, .mpg or .wmv, save to a CD-ROM.
  • Video files may not exceed 100 MB.
  • Video must be uploaded to YouTube and the url provided to us.
  • Videos will be judged in a two part process
    • Top 15 videos will be selected by the representatives from CareerSafe, SkillsUSA, and OSHA Region VI based on the following criteria:
      • Creative concept (15%)
      • Message clarity and relevance (15%)
      • Motivation/Inspiriation/Persuasiveness (15%)
      • Overall impact (15%)
    • Public voting (40%)

Helpful Tips:

Do:

  • StartSafe and StaySafe while making your video
  • Create your video to be G-rated
  • Obtain your parents' permission if you are under 18
  • Obtain permission of owner if you are on private property
  • Sumit your video, Entry Form and Consent & Release Forms postmarked by March 1, 2012

Dont:

  • Take any risks that could cause personal injury or destruction of property
  • Display, promote or attack brand names
  • Involve illegal activities
  • Include inappropriate language or activities
