CareerSafe® Selected as an Authorized Online OSHA Training Provider

College Station, Texas - CareerSafe LLC, the leading provider of online OSHA 10-hour General Industry and Construction Industry youth-focused training, was selected by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as one of 10 authrized training providers to continue delivery of online courses as part of its Outreach Training Program.

CareerSafe® National Young Worker Safety Campaign a Success

College Station, Texas - National Young Worker Safety Day Campaign was a great success.  The SkillsUSA® National Leadership and Skills Conference hosted over 5,600 high school and college students from across the country who all participated within the National Young Worker Safety Day Campaign by taking part in signing the National Safety Pledge, participating in the safety awareness activities, and receiving awareness materials to help keep safety at the forefront of their minds both in and outside of the workplace.

CareerSafe® provides industry recognized certifications through Kansas State Department of Education project

Topeka - The CareerSafe® Online is assisting Kansas high school students acheive industry-recognized certifications through the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry and OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry training courses. The Kansas State Department of Education project helps provide for the cost of the assessments for Kansas students enrolled in approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs for those in a focused CTE pathway.  Through the project, students will have access to industry-recognized certifications and information from the assessment results will assist Kansas teachers in enhancing insturction to ensure students have achieved the technical skills necessary to be successful after high school graduation.

CareerSafe® provides safety training to youths involved in OSHA’s New Summer Job Safety Campaign

Washington- - The CareerSafe® Online program’s presence was evident today as youth workers were honored by Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health Ed Foulke at a special event at Edison Academy which marked the beginning of a new OSHA campaign for Summer Job Safety.

CareerSafe Donates to SkillsUSA’s Youth Development Foundation

Kansas City, MO - K2Share, an affiliate of the CareerSafe program, presented a check in the amount of $42,000 to the Youth Development Foundation of SkillsUSA at National Leadership Conference. The donation was made on the behalf of the CareerSafe program, which brings safety training to youth and educators.

CareerSafe Online Starts Strong

CareerSafe Online, a safety and health training course developed by the TEEX-OSHA Training Institute, in alliance with OSHA and SkillsUSA, is on the way to fulfilling its goal to reduce workplace fatalities and injuries among young workers, aged 16 to 24.

Pilot Program Teaching Houston Teens About Safety

TEEX-OSHA, in partnership with the American Society of Safety Engineers and the Houston Independent School District, has launched a pioneering program to educate teens about workplace safety. In cooperation with the CareerSafe program, this training course will be offered to high school students in the HISD Career and Technology Education Programs and teaches the students about workplace safety and health and hazard recognition.

CareerSafe Aims to Reduce On-the-Job Injuries for Teens

CareerSafe is making strides to achieve its goal of training thousands of students each year by entering into an agreement with Texas Industrial Vocational Association (TIVA) and SkillsUSA/VICA to make their safety program available to students on both a national and regional basis; and, in partnership with the Department of Labor and the national office of SkillsUSA/VICA, TEEX - OSHA will make CareerSafe available to their more than 264,000 members.

Youth safety training initiative kicked into overdrive

The CareerSafe program is the first and only of many safety initiatives to award federal certification for those who complete it. The CareerSafe program offers training, which will arm youth with safety information that will hopefully prevent injury on the job. The program is being well received by employers. In fact, some home improvement businesses are setting higher pay grades for young workers who have completed the program.
