CareerSafe Safety Awareness Training (CS-100): The CareerSafe Online course provides students with 5 hours of basic safety awareness training. Topics covered include, preventing falls, personal protective equipment, electrical safety, hazard communication, machine guarding, and other common workplace safety principles that provide a basic foundation of workplace safety practices. Students who successfully complete the CareerSafe Online Safety Awareness training course receive a CareerSafe Online Safety Awareness Training completion card.
Students who have completed the CareerSafe Online Safety Awareness Training course may purchase and complete one of the available CareerSafe Extension courses (CS-104 or CS-105) and qualify for an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry or OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry completion card. Certain conditions apply, so for more information on how these courses can be a springboard to workplace safety and to meet OSHA 10-Hour Occupational Safety and Health Training requirements for your student or young worker, please see the extension course descriptions.
CareerSafe General Industry Extension (CS-104): This is the CareerSafe General Industry Extension course. In addition to completing the extension course, you must first complete the CareerSafe Safety Awareness Training Course within the last 12 months, passed all assessments in 3 attempts, and met the required seat time. If the students are unable to pass an assessment within the required 3 times they will no longer be allowed to take the CareerSafe General Industry Extension or the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry training through an online provider. After completing this course it will satisfy the same requirements of taking the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Course requirements. Once a student registers for this course they agree to comply with the same guidelines as taking the full OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Course. The student must pass all assessments of the CS-104 course within 3 attempts with a grade of 70% or higher. The students have one academic year to complete both CS-100 and CS-104 courses to receive the certification. After completing both the CS-100 and the extension CS-104 the student will receive both the CareerSafe Online Safety Awareness Training Completion card and the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Completion wallet card.
CareerSafe Construction Industry Extension (CS-105): This is the CareerSafe Construction Industry Extension course. In addition to completing the extension course, you must first complete the CareerSafe Safety Awareness Training Course within the last 12 months, passed all assessments in 3 attempts, and met the required seat time. If the students are unable to pass an assessment within the required 3 times they will no longer be allowed to take the CareerSafe Construction Industry Extension or the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry training through an online provider. After completing this course it will satisfy the same requirements of taking the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Course requirements. The student must pass all assessments of the CS-105 course within 3 attempts with a grade of 70% or higher. OSHA 10-Hour General Industry (CS-106): This is the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Course. To satisfy all of the requirements to receive the certification of this course, students must pass all assessments within 3 attempts with a grade of 70% or higher. If the students unable to pass an assessment within the required 3 times they will no longer be allowed to take the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry training through an online provider. The students have one academic year to complete this course to receive the certification. After completing the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry course the student will receive the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Completion card.
OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry (CS-107): This is the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Course. To satisfy all of the requirements to receive the certification of this course, students must pass all assessments within 3 attempts with a grade of 70% or higher. If the students unable to pass an assessment within the required 3 times they will no longer be allowed to take the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry training through an online provider. The students have one academic year to complete this course to receive the certification. After completing the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry course the student will receive the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Completion card.
