CareerSafe Extension Courses
Students who have completed the CareerSafe Online Safety Awareness Training course may purchase and complete one of the available CareerSafe Extension courses (CS-104 or CS-105) and qualify for an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry or OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry completion card. The CareerSafe Online Safety Awareness training course is designed to provide basic safety awareness training to youth who are currently in or preparing to enter the workforce. Completion of this course alone does not qualify a student to receive an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry or OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry completion card. However, when taken together with one of the available CareerSafe Extension courses, a student may be able to earn an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry or OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry completion card. The issuance of the OSHA 10-Hour completion card is dependent on the student being able to successfully complete assessments within three attempts and the combination of the CareerSafe Online Safety Awareness training and Extension courses must be completed within one academic year. The combination of the CareerSafe Online Safety Awareness training course and one of the available CareerSafe Extension courses is an ideal supllement to a teacher's curriculum.
The OSHA 10-Hour Courses
Our national youth safety program also offers the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry and the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry training options. These two courses provide students with an OSHA 10-Hour Wallet Card from the OSHA Training Institute, (OTI).
